Today's lunch is frozen curry rice and roasted pork (Chashu) from the supermarket!
Unlike the curry roux I introduced the other day, this one comes with the curry already served over the rice before being frozen.
All you have to do is pop it in the microwave for the required time, and it's ready to go.
The balance between the rich, flavorful curry and the colorful vegetables is excellent.
The texture of the broccoli and the way the pumpkin melts into a sweet delight with every bite is just perfect!
As for the roasted pork, I couldn't resist and ended up finishing it while the curry was still heating up! 😅
It’s basically the same kind of "Chashu" you’d find on top of ramen, but sold on its own.
Needless to say, it was delicious too!
